As a merchant, I don't want to have experiences on my site when there's no inventory available and/or when the last bookable day has passed. I'd like the option to automatically unpublish an experience from my storefront.
Things to consider:
If you unpublish a product page in Shopify, that URL returns a 404. If Google had indexed it, that's a crawl error and a ranking signal hit.
The better practice is usually to either redirect the old URL to a relevant page (like the general experiences collection), or to keep the page published but mark it as "sold out" or "past event" — some merchants even use this as a marketing play ("This experience has passed — join our list for the next one").
Shopify doesn't natively handle redirects on unpublish, so merchants need to manually add a redirect in Online Store → Navigation → URL Redirects after unpublishing.
